Accounting

Q. I asked for a bill, can I now change it to pay with a credit card?

A. Yes, pay your invoice with a credit card online at: https://corp.collegenet.com/invoicepayment.html.

Q. How can I get a receipt for my online payment?

A. Your registration confirmation email includes the amount paid and acts as your receipt. If your accounting department requires something additional, contact uconf@collegenet.com.

Conference Hotel

Q. Where does the conference take place?

A. The Portland Hilton Downtown, 921 SW Sixth Avenue, Portland, OR 97204. Sessions and registration take place in meeting rooms on the Ballroom, Plaza Level, and Third Floor levels of the Main Tower of the hotel.

Q. The conference hotel block is full (or full on some days) and I cannot get the rate for my entire stay, what can I do?

A. For best opportunity, secure your hotel reservation as early as possible. If the online registration site shows no availability of the rate, be sure to call the hotel direct (503-226-1611). The hotel can often help with securing the rate on days where the rate IS available. And, you can sometimes be put on a waiting list for cancellations on days where the rate isn't available.

Q. The conference block is entirely full, can you add more rooms to the block?

A. Not often. Because the conference takes place in summer when the city is busiest, most often there are not any rooms that we can add.

Q. I can't get into the conference hotel and other downtown hotels are either full or the rates are very high. What can I do?

A. The MAX train line provides a fast, efficient way to commute downtown, and it runs daily 5am - midnight. Two convenient hotel areas which are served by the MAX line are Oregon Convention Center hotels and Portland International Airport hotels.

Cancellations & Substitutions

Q. Are substitutions permitted?

A. Yes with few exceptions, if you would like to substitute one attendee for another, contact uconf@collegenet.com.

Q. What is your registration and refund policy?

If you need to cancel your conference registration and/or an optional training course, full refund will be made when you cancel by June 30, 2023. No full refunds or invoice recalls can be made for cancellations of conference registrations or training course registrations unless notification is received by CollegeNET by June 30, 2023. Cancellations received after June 30, 2023 are eligible for a 50% refund if CollegeNET is notified by July 10, 2023. After July 10, 2023, no refunds or invoice recalls in any amount will be issued.

Tourism

Q. What can I do for fun while in Portland in my free time?

A. The best site to explore your options is: https://www.travelportland.com/.

Safety

Q. Are you making any changes to the conference due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic?

A. Some of your colleagues and compatriots will be more comfortable wearing masks at gatherings. Please feel free to wear a mask if that helps you to feel safe. And please respect the wishes of your fellow conference attendees to skip hugs, handshakes, and exchanging business cards. Consider connecting through the Forum here as an alternative: https://www.series25.community/group/5-2023-user-conference.

Q. Has downtown Portland changed a lot? Will I still be able to visit restaurants and coffee shops and Powell’s?

A. Downtown Portland has changed quite a bit in the last few years. Similar to many urban areas in the U.S., there are a lot fewer downtown workers than in the past. And as you likely heard in the news, we had our share of challenges. That said, Portland made a list of 20 best places to visit in the U.S. in a recent Forbes article. And we have many excellent restaurants, shops, parks and coffee shops to visit, many within walking distance of the Hilton. If you’re unsure about neighborhoods and how they may have changed, check with a CollegeNET staff person.
