Graduating students at the University of Washington are now signing up for commencement via the web, avoiding the long lines and hassle of in-person signup. By calling up a form from the school's web site, students are securing tickets for the graduation ceremony, reserving official graduation garb, and obtaining parking passes. The new "smart" form even checks to make sure the student is qualified to graduate. CollegeNET, Inc. developed the form in collaboration with the University of Washington and transparently serves it on behalf of the university.

"Students now have the opportunity to go online from anywhere in the world and secure their place in the graduation ceremony," says Sara Griggs, Director of the Office of Commencement Exercises at the university.
