In a sixty-page opinion and order (Summary_Judgment_Opinion.pdf), US Magistrate Judge
Dennis Hubel has both denied a motion by ApplyYourself, Inc.
for invalidity of CollegeNET's Universal Forms Engine patent (#6,460,042) and found literal infringement by ApplyYourself's i-Class system of key
claims in this and one other related CollegeNET patent (#6,345,278). The Universal Forms Engine is the technology framework behind CollegeNET's
popular web-based e-commerce services utilized by colleges, universities, and non-profits. These Internet-delivered services include admissions
application and prospect management, tuition processing, commencement processing, and alumni membership and contributions management.
