Despite education-related budget cuts in
30 states, colleges and universities have been moving ahead with record
licensings of space and event scheduling products. Automated room and
event scheduling market leader CollegeNET, Inc. reports that since last
year's 911 disaster, over 60 institutions have licensed its new R25
campus-wide scheduling software. R25 enables individual campus scheduling
offices to optimize local scheduling of space and events while tying all
offices together for streamlined reporting, workflow, and overall space
utilization.
According to Paul Casey, CollegeNET's director of corporate communications,
"Just as individuals and families are being forced to look more closely at
protecting their resources, colleges and universities are clearly doing the
same in this relatively weak economic climate. Given the skyrocketing
cost of tuition, schools are under especially heavy pressure to use
existing resources more efficiently. These pressures are translating into
record licensings of our software."
Schools tapping CollegeNET's new R25 scheduling for campuswide optimization
include: American University, Baltimore City Community Colleges, Berklee
College of Music, Binghamton University, Biola University, Blue Ridge
Community College, Bryant College, Burlington County College, College of
the Holy Cross, Columbia College, Columbus State Community College,

According to Terry Kelley-Wallace, associate university registrar at
Binghamton University: "Binghamton University is very excited about our
recent licensing of Resource 25. CollegeNet has developed a product that
addresses all aspects of campus wide room scheduling. The product's
functionality together with CollegeNet's excellent customer service is a
winning combination!"
About R25
By allowing each user to completely configure his/her own interface, R25
cracks the riddle of providing a rich and powerful array of resource
scheduling capabilities to the overall institution without overwhelming
individual schedulers. This capability permits all schedulers on campus -
despite differing individual needs - to comfortably use the same system.
The new R25 also breaks new ground by becoming the first scheduling product
to successfully integrate e-commerce web registration capability for
enhanced management of campus events.
