Surge of Competitive Wins Greets Debut of R25
Indianapolis, IN, October 26, 2001:

CollegeNET announced today a surge of competitive wins as it rolls out its next generation academic and events scheduling software, R25™ v3.0 at EDUCAUSE. Since July 31st, Polytechnic University, University of Delaware, Stonehill College, College of the Holy Cross and University of Vermont have all awarded competitive bids to CollegeNET for the new R25. By allowing each user to completely configure his/her own interface, R25 cracks the riddle of providing a rich and powerful array of resource scheduling capabilities to the overall institution without overwhelming individual schedulers. This capability permits all schedulers on campus - despite vastly differing needs - to comfortably use the same system. The new R25 product also marks the first time e-commerce web reservation capability has been successfully melded into a space and resource scheduling solution.

Andy Heydon, vice president of software development at CollegeNET, commented on the engineering challenges addressed by R25, "Software inevitably becomes more complex as any company listens to users and responds to their growing needs. R25's breakthrough is not so much the vast new scheduling capabilities it provides as it is the way it gives each user a tailored, intuitive lens into that power."

The development of R25 followed a careful design methodology embracing participation from Emory U, U Richmond, Dartmouth, College of Lake County, and Cal Poly. Liz Bothwell, co-designer of the R25 system, and associate vice president of Series 25 development and support at CollegeNET remarked: "Working beside major colleges in the design and birthing of R25 has really paid off. The big joy now is watching real schedulers get so excited about working with this product."

Joseph H. Santivasci, assistant registrar, University of Delaware, commented on the R25 decision: "The reputation of CollegeNET, coupled with the strong list of higher education clients using the Series 25 scheduling products, clearly added an extra layer of confidence when making the final decision. We anticipate a long and mutually successful relationship with CollegeNET."
