Monday Excursions
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
These tours are privately contracted by CollegeNET for our conference attendees and their guests. Advance registration is required. The FINAL day to register for all excursions is July 17, 2009. No refunds or invoice recalls are possible for cancellations received after that date.

Join your colleagues Sunday morning for one of the following excursions. Register and pay when you fill out the Conference Registration Form.
PORTLAND EPICUREAN EXCURSION (a culinary walking tour)
Eat, drink, and laugh your way through the Pearl District — A unique and delicious Walking Tour where you'll taste foods, sip drinks, meet artisans & vendors in their bakeries, teahouses, breweries, and shops — while exploring the lively Pearl District. Join us and taste the best of Oregon — wine, local produce, teas, mustards, jams and jellies, artisan breads, beer and so much more. We recommend that walkers don't eat before the tour!
Duration: 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

Transportation: Walking (less than 2 miles)

Cost: $59 per person (all ages)

Includes: Guided tour and samples

GRAPE ESCAPE WINERY TOUR
A wonderful afternoon escape into the gorgeous Willamette Valley Wine Region which includes visits to three esteemed Oregon wineries, tasting, appetizers, lunch and dessert to compliment the wines you will taste. Your knowledgeable "Escape Artist" will provide fun and useful facts along the way.
Duration: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Transportation: Van - departs from and returns to the Hilton

Cost: $100 per person

Includes: Transportation, meals, tasting

WILLAMETTE JET BOAT EXCURSION
Explore Portland's historic bridges, skyline, world class ship yards and scenic waterfront. Glide past spectacular riverfront homes on your way to the magnificent Willamette Falls, stopping just yards from the cascading water. This narrated, 37-mile, round trip offers a variety of maritime, wildlife and historic highlights. You are very likely to get wet, dress casually and protect your electronic gear.



Duration: 11:15 am - 2:00 pm

Transportation: Trolley ride to the waterfront for boat loading at 11:45am

Cost: $30.00 per person

Includes: 2-hour boat tour

THE OREGON ZOO (on your own)
This year our conference opening event will be at the Oregon Zoo, and we have included in the bargain a daily ticket for the zoo for each attendee and paid opening event guest of an attendee if they would like to visit the Zoo earlier in the day. At your leisure on Monday, you can take a quick ride on the MAX train up to the zoo (only $2.00 and a few stops away) and spend a few hours or the entire morning/afternoon exploring the zoo before the opening event which begins at 6:00pm. Just remember to save your appetite for our 6:00pm dinner and a bit of energy for the concert afterward.

Duration: At your leisure, as you like.

Transportation: On your own via MAX train.

Cost: No additional cost to registered attendees and paid guests for the opening event (except a MAX train ticket you obtain on your own $2 pp)

Includes: Admission to the Zoo on 7/27/08.

Registration Deadline: N/A


Please note: Excursions take place on Monday, July 27 from approximately 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. If you arrive in Portland on or before Sunday, July 26th please check in with the registration desk between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Sunday in order to pickup your excursion information. If you are arriving late on Sunday and cannot drop by the registration desk on Monday morning before your excursion is scheduled to depart, please contact dallison@collegenet.com to receive your excursion information by e-mail. Refunds cannot be made for no-shows or to those who cancel after July 17, 2009.
