R25: Tips & Tricks Session 1 (AS,ES)
Back by popular demand — the special tips and tricks session. This year we're again extending the session to two hours to give you more time to learn about saved shortcuts, creating and emailing reports from SpeedBook, changing saved event states, linking events to a related events, using SpeedBook calendar views, entering event-related text, using advanced searching when assigning spaces and resources, refining your user preference settings for all the directories, and many more lesser-known R25 techniques.
WebViewer: Advanced Customization (T)
An experienced "customizer" will illustrate the use of JavaScript, HTS file modifications and/or database triggers to influence the behavior of the WebViewer request form and the creation of R25 event drafts from WebViewer requests — short of using WebServices to create custom request forms "from scratch". Examples include: dynamically hiding/showing items on the form, creating validation lists for custom attributes, defaulting values from dropdown lists, implementing advance notice and/or future cutoff dates, automatically pushing pre- and post-event time captured via custom attributes into SpeedBook.
Bulk Import Tool (T)
In this workshop you will learn how to use the Data Import Utility and WebServices to import data from an Excel document into R25. The Excel document can contain partition, space, custom attribute, contact, physical feature, and resource data. The Data Import Utility can help expedite the data preparation phase of implementing R25.
