Building a Communication Plan for Admissions
Because of the variety of customers it must work with, Graduate Admissions is considered multifaceted and complex. At Virginia Tech, we are developing new business processes for focusing our attention on graduate recruitment and admissions communication. This session will provide background on the need for developing a more comprehensive plan for courtship and establishing stronger relationships with our customers, utilizing best practices and e-marketing. We will discuss the use of several tools and how Virginia Tech is integrating their usage with BANNER (7.4.1.1V1) to create a streamlined process for informing students and program areas across campus of needed information. The ability to provide better service to our customers and to manage the entire recruitment to enrollment process will be covered as well. This session would be helpful to anyone in the Recruitment or Admission arena.
We believe this forum will provide an opportunity for others to learn from our experiences and to help develop their own plans for working smarter with their constituents. It will also provide a structured environment to share and discuss new ideas with others who face similar issues.
